GoldHunter works by transmitting a magnetic field generated by coil a then analyzing that field as it returns from the environment that the signal was transmitted. The processing of the signal is done by a control unit that generates audio tones when it detects that the return signal has changed.
Of course, Every material has a specific number we call this scale of numbers Target ID value. Many factors influence on Target ID accuracies, like soil mineralization or angle between target and coil, by gaining experience in the field, you should be able to recognize many types of targets by Target ID value. Here is the table of ID values and object materials for it.
Using 3D ground scan mode will also tell you targets the exact location, the shape of the target, and its size. Using augmented reality these details are displayed through smartphones directly on to word environment in real-time.
